Extraordinary discovery on the bottom of the Black Sea
Two teams of researchers made unexpected discovery on the bottom of the Black Sea and the Atlantic Ocean.
According to ProTv, at 5,000 meters underwater, hidden in the soil at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean, were discovered traces of ancient DNA of some unicellular beings who lived 32,000 years ago.
At the same time, another team of researchers identified ancient DNA for over 11,000 years under the Black Sea, writes Wired.
New data from this research will help professionals to learn new details about past climate and life forms ever since.
"The seabed is the oldest DNA archive and a window to the past," said Pedro Martines Arbizu, a biologist at the German Centre for Marine Biodiversity Research in Wilhelmshaven.
