U.S. - Romanian Consular Working Group Meets

Representatives of the Romanian Government met with U.S. Embassy officials on April 25, 2013, under the auspices of the Strategic Partnership Working Group to discuss various issues which included consular, law enforcement and visa matters. The Working Group continued its work on ways the U.S. and Romania can improve cooperation in order to broaden and strengthen the law enforcement, extradition, border crossing, travel and visa dimensions of the U.S./Romanian bilateral relationship. In addition, the head of the Romanian Adoptions Office presented a briefing on the current status of Romanian law and procedures with regard to domestic and international adoptions. This working group meets on a quarterly basis with the next occasion scheduled for July, 2013.
