Lafarge Plant, investigated by the Competition Council

The inspectors of the Competition Council carried out unannounced inspections on LAFARGE CIMENT (ROMANIA) and on the company's 2 working places from Hoghiz and Medgidia. 

The investigation started as a follow to a complaint addressed tot the competition institution, concerning a possible abuse of dominant position of Lafarge on the market of CEM I 52,5R cement type. "The Competition Council has one message for all the economical entities: they have to play by the rules. We will use all the legal methods available to support the consumers, by means of keeping a competition environment", declared, to this respect, Bogdan Chiriţoiu, the president of the Competition Council.
