Nati Meir has been detained for fraud and tax dodging

Ex-candidate for presidency, Nati Meir, has been detained yesterday afternoon, after a flagrant organized by the prosecutors of the Prosecutor Office attached to Bucharest Tribunal and the policemen of the Brigade for Countering the Organized Crime.

Meir has been charged of fraud and tax dodging and the policemen of the Brigade for Countering the Organized Crime have interrogated him.

Deputy Meir was also brought to justice on December 11, 2006 for fraud and tax dodging of over 21 billions lei, eluding tax and stamp duty payment, and for deceiving 128 people (some of them from Moldavia) to whom he had promised employment contracts in Israel.
