"Making much
ado about this event from the end of May, outside Bucharest, the concert of rock band AC/DC was
actually a joke meant to generate profit to an unknown company, PlayCool, as
all Romanian press agencies disclosed on Wednesday.
According to NewsIn, Tuesday evening there was issued a press release on the band's official web site, which gave the lie to their participation to Bucharest Rock Arena, in this way forcing the company in charge with ticket selling, TicketPoint, to make it public that this concert was not to be held. According to some representatives of one of the companies organising this concert, One Event, the 8,000 persons who already bought tickets against prices between 25 and 200 Euros, will receive all their money back
After the band denied the rumour of their concerting to Bucharest, One Event representatives tried to contact PlayCool, but the latter refuse to pick up their phones. AFP [Romanian Press Agency] states that, according to Romanian media, PlayCool has been registered starting from March, in Bucharest, by an Israeli company.
According to "Adevãrul" [Romanian national newspaper], PlayCool, the company praising about bringing AC/DC in, is just a small business with a capital of 200 lei. the company is registered with Commerce Register on 16th of March 2009.
The owner and the legal representative of the company is Douchan Eran, Israeli citizen, who will turn 29 on 31st of May, the day on which the AC/DC concert was about to take place. PlayCool headquarters are in a block of flats, at the 3rd floor, in Titan neighbourhood.
