Rompetrol has invested more than 16 million USD
Rompetrol has invested more than 16 million USDRompetrol Downstream, the retail division of Rompetrol Group, ended up, at the beginning of April, the 1st centre of command and monitoring the fuel supply stations in Romania, the total value of the investment being more than 16.3 million USD.
"Rompetrol Operational Centre (ROC) is a premiere in the field in Romania; it insures real time monitoring and coordinating fuel transport and distribution operations, and also other activities coordinated by station. ROC also provides a strict control of the quality and of the route followed, from the refinery's gate to the client's tank", says Titov Buzescu, the general manager of Rompetrol Downstream and Retail and Marketing vice-president of Rompetrol Group.Among the parameters monitored by this new centre, there are also those for selling equipments in Rompetrol stations, fuel reserves, safety and security (sensors for movement, access, temperature and smoke, explosions, video cameras) and those for the system of cistern monitoring and fuel unloading process.
"The new centre will significantly contribute to improvement of solutions, processes and equipments within our stations, and implicitly to the growth and performance of the current activity of the operational chain. For example, centralising monitoring systems made possible an almost 30% reduction of the time required for interventions and the integration of the services delivered by our partners led to a 50% cost reduction of the expenditures (maintenance, function)", said Titov Buzescu. Presently, ROC manages the mobile Rompetrol Expres stations, owned stations and 20 m3 capacity internal bases, for main fuel consumers, like companies in food industry, constructions or transportation. Until the end of August, our company will also finish integrating the activities of Partner Rompetrol stations and of 9 m3 internal bases.
