The day of the Danube Delta, marked by ecologic explosions

Yesterday, on the 29th of July, date which marked the signing of The Convention regarding the cooperation for the protection and long-lasting utilization of the Danube Delta in 1994, was celebrated The Danube Delta's Day. The day in discussion is the 6th edition of the event which, this year, took place at the proposal of the Danube countries, under the aegis of the International Committee for the Protection of the Danube River.

For marking this day, the Administration of the Danube Biosphere Reservation (ARBD) has organised a series of events having an ecological theme. This is a competition- exposition named „ A chance for The Blue Danube Delta" which has been taken place since the year 2000. „ The objective of the competition is , through the agency of these expositions of posters which are dedicated to the biodiversity's protection  of the Danube Delta  Biosphere Reservation, to become constient and to mentain the public opinion's constant interest, especially the young generation's one, upon the necesity to conserve the natural ecosistems", declared the governer of the Danube Delta, Grigore Baboianu. The second manifestation which marks the Danube Delta's Day is the competition-exposition „Bouquet of flowers", organised by the Elementary School with the classes I-VIII Ioan Neniţescu, in partnership with the Children's Palace and ARBD Tulcea.
