Udrea, expected to a special Indian evening at Rex Hotel

Tonight, beginning at 20.00, 150 guests, including Minister of Regional Development and Tourism, Elena Udrea, are expected to attend the first theme festival organized by the new leadership of Rex Hotel in Mamaia

The day before the official opening of 2010-summer season, Tourism Minister is coming to attend Indian Food Night.

Moreover, the new manager of the hotel, Abdur Rahim Khan, announced thematic evenings organized month by month, since taking over the leadership, in March. He came with the idea of organizing this kind of special evenings when he realized that in five years, since he is in Romania, nobody thought of such a festival. "I noticed that out of season there is no activity. I thought about doing something different, to enjoy the people of Constanta and not only them, an event where people have the chance to know another countries and cultures. Being of Indian origin, I thought it would be a good start if the chain of events begins with an Indian evening", said the manager. In addition to the Indian dishes served to the guests, organizers will arrange the restaurant so as to resemble a place from the Indian landscape.

The organizers will bring two Indian musicians and a dancer. Naliny, one of the singers, is Romanian native, but in love with the Indian traditional music, culture and traditions. "We are going to decorate the restaurant so it resembles one in India, we'll put flags, we have many books, postcards and many more. For our guests we have something special, too. They are welcomed at the entrance by a person who will make them the distinctive forehead sign, Bindia, which in our tradition brings luck. We hope we'll manage to bring India to Constanta for several hours with our program", added Rahim Khan.
For the Indian landscape to be complete, the hotel staff will be dressed in the traditional clothing, sari.

In May, Greek evening

On the list of those who received an invitation to attend tonight special evening there are Minister Elena Udrea, Ambassador of India, Ambassador of the United States of America, local authorities from Constanta and also other guests from Constanta and from all over the country. Hotel manager invited the Mayor Radu Mazare too, but he had declined the invitation because he is not in the country at that time.

Rahim Khan also said that after this evening, in late May, they will organize a typical Greek evening.
