Within the last ten days, in Constanta, 13 people died because of the heat

Within the last ten days, over 60 people went to the County Emergency Hospital of Constanta having high body temperature (39-42 °C), caused by excessive heat or sunlight exposure at inappropriate hours. Thirteen of them died in the medical unit.
According to hospital spokesperson Florian Stoian, from August 9 till now  61 people presented to the Emergency having high fever syndrome and 13 of them died.
"In four of these cases we can say for sure that it is heat related deaths as patients were brought to hospital from work or from the street, where they passed out," said Stoian.

He also said that the other nine cases are deaths related to associated diseases and preexisting pathological conditions, but the heat was still the trigger.
