Dr Niculescu left as a registrar and came back as a managerThe list will be opened by dr. Ion Niculescu, manager of Constanţa County Clinics and Emergency Hospital. On 13th of March 2009, dr. Niculescu was officially appointed manager of the most important medical unit in Constanţa, replacing university dr. Ioan Tiberiu Tofolean. At age 54, he became the manager of the county emergency hospital, the place where he started as a registrar. Dr. Ion Niculescu is obstetrics and genecology specialist, and he was the manager of Mangalia Municipal Hospital for eight years. In 2001, when he was appointed manager of the above mentioned hospital, he changed his political colour, shifting from PD [Democrat Party] to PSD [Socialist Democrat Party]. Before becoming manager of Mangalia hospital, he held some significant positions.
His activity with the municipal
hospital started in 1988, as obstetrics and genecology attending doctor, in
1992 became specialist, in 1997 1st degree doctor and in 2000
department manager. His first steps in medicine were made in Constanţa County
Clinics and Emergency
Hospital, which he has
recently been in charge of, and where he was a registrar between 1980 and 1983.
From here he moved to Băneasa
Hospital; there he worked
for three years as generalist practitioner, and between 1986 and 1988 he was
the manager of this medical unit.
Mircea Cel Bătrân High School
In his adolescence he attended the courses of now called the National High School Mircea cel Bătrân of Constanţa. For college, he moved to Iaşi and he attended the Medicine and Pharmacology Institute, and the Ph D was granted to him by Iuliu Hateganu Medicine and Pharmacology University from Cluj-Napoca. According to the information in his CV, dr. Ion Niculescu is also specialised in "management of health services" and "general ultrasound scanning". The new manager of the county emergency hospital published some articles in medical magazines. "The cause-effect relation between hepatic adenoma and oral contraceptives" or "Menstrual malfunctions in hepatic distresses" are only two of his studies. Dr. Niculescu participated to national and international symposia, conferences and congresses.
