Corporate Clients Can Now Authorize Payments Remotely with Citibank Romania’s CitiDirect BE Mobile

Citigroup, through its Global Transaction Services unit, is pleased to announce it has recently launched CitiDirect BE Mobile, a mobile browser based application that allows corporate clients in Romania to view and authorize payments remotely using a mobile device.

Designed to work with the world's most popular devices, the application brings core transaction functionalities from the CitiDirect Online Banking platform to the mobile phone providing anywhere, anytime access for on-the-go corporate users.

CitiDirect BE Mobile provides a convenient mobile alternative to the desktop/ laptop-based banking platform for both authorizing payments and notifications. The application uses the existing CitiDirect SafeWord Card, a system that enables Citi to successfully authenticate and authorize the user based on the entitlement engine that CitiDirect currently employs.

Furthermore, clients receive mobile text alerts - which complement CitiDirect's standard e-mail notifications - for a faster and more convenient event notification.
