COSMOTE Romania receives Quality Management System Certification

COSMOTE Romania recently achieved the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system certification to prove the full compliance with corporate procedures at international level, in line with the COSMOTE Group process model.

ELOT - Hellenic Organization for Standardization, a member of IQNet International Certification Network, issued to COSMOTE Romania the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Management System Certification, following the Quality Certification Audit performed at the end of September 2010.

"The implementation of the ISO 9001:2008 quality management system certifies that we operate in full compliance with corporate procedures at international level and is a natural step in the evolution of the company. This accreditation is also an incentive to continue on the same track in order to reach our main objective: Business Excellence", stated Spyridon Spyropoulos, Operations Director with COSMOTE Romania.

Following this achievement, COSMOTE Romania is amongst the few companies active in the telecom industry in Romania, which implemented and certified the quality management system.

In terms of effective management and improvement of processes and procedures, COSMOTE Romania has developed and successfully implemented an appropriate Corporate Process Model, adopting the categorization of the eTOM Model. The eTOM Model - enhanced Telecom Operations Map - is a process model for telecommunication companies and organizations, which categorizes company's procedures in a structured way. The model has been developed by the TeleManagement Forum, a forum that provides practical solutions and guidance for the management in telecommunication companies.

The process model adopted by COSMOTE Romania is in line with the COSMOTE Group process model and offers clear identification of processes, activities, gaps and duplicates, the possibility to eliminate the redundant activities as well as the continuous improvement of the processes. This certification comes as an additional proof of COSMOTE Romania's customer orientation, quality and efficiency of its processes and continuous improvement.
