Over 150 participants will run with the PwC Romania team in the Bucharest International Marathon

Bucharest, 6 October 2011. Over 150 participants will run with the PwC Romania team at the Bucharest International Marathon that will take place on the 9th of October in Bucharest. Among these there are PwC employees and Partners, but also friends, children of the employees and clients invited to run in the PwC team at the five trials of the competition (marathon, semi-marathon, the relay race, the 4 km popular contest and the children's race).

I would like to thank the organizers who made possible for such a race to take place in Romania and to congratulate them for both initiatives - organizing the Bucharest International Marathon and the Civil Society Cross", stated Peter de Ruiter, Partner, Tax and Legal Services Leader, PwC Romania, one of the participants in the half-marathon.

In order to prepare for the marathon, the PwC team has the possibility to take part in professional training held by a former national champion in 800 meters run, Stelian Tufaru, who is currently a professional athletics and fitness trainer. The trainings take place three times a week.

The PwC team that will take part in the Bucharest International Marathon consists of:

4 runners in the marathon race

25 runners in the half-marathon

52 participants in the relay 10.5 km race

68 participants in the popular 4 km race

7 children registered for the children's race
