PwC Romania continues partnership with the Association for the Promotion of the Romanian Film and counted the votes for the 2012 edition of the Gopo Awards

Bucharest, 26 March 2012. PwC Romania continued the partnership with the Association for the Promotion of the Romanian Film and handled for the second year in a row the vote counting process for the Gopo Awards, the most prestigious distinctions of the Romanian film industry.

The vote counting team was made of Radu Stoicoviciu, Partner, Advisory and Deals Leader, Dan Iancu, Partner, Advisory, andRăzvan Penescu, Senior Manager, Valuation Services, PwC România.

Before the awards gala, Radu Stoicoviciu and Dan Iancu were the only Romanians that knew the results of the votes in which 400 professionals from the film industry participated: producers, directors, actors, cinematographers, scriptwriters, critics, production designers, music composers, hair & make-up artists and specialized journalists.

"For several years now, the Romanian film is the best ambassador of Romania abroad. PwC Romania is delighted to contribute to rewarding the most valuable contributions in this field by managing with the outmost accuracy and confidentiality the vote counting process", stated Radu Stoicoviciu.

The Gopo Awards are organized by the Romanian Film Promotion Association (APFR), with the support of Babel Communications and the National Centre for Cinematography.
