Bucharest, July 4, 2012: The heat of July is always more bearable with a cold beer aside. For all those who know how to celebrate summer, real,- introduces promotional offers for tens of types and brands of beer, available in all24 hypermarkets.

Top 2012 summer beer trends:

 Preferred Promotions: packs "5+1 free", "5 beers + 1 free glass", "7+1 free" or beer packs with various presents (bottle openers, hats, key chains etc.);

 Glass bottle beer segment is growing by 20-80% depending on the sub-category, compared to the same period last summer;

 The most outstanding sales growth is faced by the flavored beer segment, where the growth is more than two times. The results are due mostly to the launch of new assortments (Ciuc Radler, Red's Cranberries etc.). Other two great performers, with sales twice the level of last year are those of unfiltered beer and high alcohol content beer (high fermentation beers with high alcohol content);

 PET beer continues to be highly important, and producers are fighting for leadership on this niche. Recently, a number of local brands have launched the 2.5 liters bottle, which has proven to be widely successful.

 In the case of dark beers, a clear growth tendency can be noticed, however the level of this segment is low;

 Recent market researches show that beer is the beverage on which Romanian people spend the most money, followed by bottled water and carbonated drinks.
