The winners of this year’s Custom of Love edition have been selected
 
COSMOTE Romania announces the 8 NGO’s that will be granted with a total of almost 40,000 euro within the Custom of Love campaign
                       Bucharest, May 9th, 2013
 
In the 5th edition of “Custom of Love’’ campaign, COSMOTE Romania with the help of its customers, will grant the aggregate amount of 39,671 euro, part of the revenues raised from the SMS-es sent on New Year’s Day 2013, to 8 non-governmental organizations that provide care and relief to underprivileged and/or sick children. Thus, “Custom of love” campaign, one of the company’s traditional social responsibility programs, will continue to support the organizations that help children in need.
 
“We would like to thank the almost 90 applicants for their great job in helping the unprivileged children and congratulate all of them for the projects they have already developed. We were excited to see, once more, that there are so many people involved in supporting the children in need of assistance. Our company continues the involvement in educational and social issues, by reaching a helping hand to those in need. We would also like to thank our customers for their support in sending “Custom of love” SMSes that will surely be valued by their beneficiaries”, stated Ruxandra Voda, Corporate Affairs Senior Manager, COSMOTE Romania.
 
In this 5th year’s edition, the awarded organizations and the value of their awards are:
 
 
 
These amounts will be used by each above NGO’s for programs destined to children with various disabilities, children with terminal diseases, children from poor areas, children from broken homes or abused children.
 

Last year, almost 29,000 unprivileged children benefited from the support of COSMOTE Romania, through the projects developed in 2012 by the NGOs that were granted 5,000 euro each during the 4th edition of “Custom of Love”. Since the program’s launch in 2008, COSMOTE Romania offered, during the first 4 editions, a total of 185,000 euro to 17 non-governmental organizations that care for children.
 
As a responsible and active part of the society, COSMOTE Romania is involving its employees, customers, suppliers and business partners in different initiatives and programs which respond to the Romanian social environment requirements. Amongst the social responsibility programs developed by COSMOTE Romania, there are: “Custom of Love - New Year’s SMS campaign”, the partnership with the Child’s Phone Association, “I love recycling” mobile telephony electronic waste collection program, “Adopt a Forest” planting program, the internal program “Green Office” for protecting the environment and others.
