U.S. Renovates Three Kindergartens in Tulcea County

On May 9, 2013, Colonel Glen Lawson and Major Bill Spurlock from the U.S. Embassy’s Office of Defense Cooperation and Ministry of Education and local officials participated in ribbon cutting ceremonies at the Tulcea County Stejaru Primary Kindergarten, the Topolog Primary School and the Luminita Primary School. The United States European Command (EUCOM) provided $ 259,000 to renovate heating systems and insulation of the schools. According to local officials, enrollment has increased 600% since the renovations.
