Kindergarten form Navodari, renovated by the Americans
As
a result of the involvement of the American soldiers, the kids
attending Kindergarten no. 3 from Năvodari City will have better
conditions for the educational process.
The Ambassador of the
United States in Bucharest, Mark H. Gitenstein, local officials, the
mayor of Năvodari City, Nicolae Matei, and pupils of the school
participated Thursday, September 19, 2009, at the opening ceremony of
Kindergarten no. 3.
This way, the Americans wanted to mark finishing rehabilitation works of the building.
Seabeea
Draft of US Navy made several repairs of the building, replaced inner
and outer doors, repaired and replaced access steps and painted the
walls and ceilings in 14 classrooms.
American's involvement in social projects in our county is neither a premier nor a singular deed. Over the last two years, the Seabees military have finished 15 civic-humanitarian projects in Constanţa and Tulcea counties. Those projects are financed through Humanitarian Assistance Program of the U.S. European Command (EUCOM), a program of the US Defence Department, and coordinated by the Romanian-American Office of Defense Cooperation.
